Now, I must confess to some bias as this fantastic gem is the creation of my daughter and her husband. I can personally attest to the quality of the ingredients and the integrity of the owners! Everything is purchased locally, even the wines are from Washington vineyards. This dynamic duo has done their research and the results will satisfy even the most discerning of pizza consumers.
John and Alyssa, the owners, describe the pizza style as artisan, or Neapolitanish, with a “thinner style crust in the center with a very robust and lively and airy outside rim that’s maybe half an inch.” The surface area is important to a quality pie, which is why they intend to extend the toppings to near the outer rim of the pizza. John's pizza peeve (and mine) is running out of toppings with four bites left of crust. He’ll make his dough from double 00 flour.
The atmosphere is charming and this little resturant is great for a date night or hanging out with friends. Located in historic downtown Gig Harbor, Millville caters to pizza lovers of all ages. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 4:30 to 10:00 pm. No reservations, just show up and get ready for some mouth watering pizza!
